For physicians and practices
Depression and anxiety in your older patients, treated by people who specialize in it.
For primary care, geriatrics, and specialty practices.
What you’re seeing
The PHQ-9 is positive again. The patient isn’t sleeping, or isn’t eating, or hasn’t left the apartment since the fall. You have eleven minutes, and the therapist list on your desk is out of date.
How Haven fits
Haven’s licensed clinicians provide psychotherapy and behavioral health evaluations for adults 65 and older, by phone, so a patient who can’t travel can still start. Medicare Part B covers the care when it’s medically necessary. No physician order is required for psychotherapy under Original Medicare, and we welcome the details you send and will keep you in the loop. We do not provide psychiatry or medication management, and we’ll say so plainly if a patient needs it.
What happens after you connect someone
-
You send their details: secure form, phone, or fax.
-
We call the person, with their consent, and have an unhurried first conversation. A regular phone works fine.
-
We review their coverage and match them with a licensed clinician who has experience working with older adults.
-
We confirm back to you that we’ve connected, and with the person’s permission, keep you informed as care proceeds.
What we send back
Confirmation that we reached the person. With their consent, a brief intake summary in plain language and periodic updates at a cadence you ask for.
