A calm harbor at sunrise. Small boats sit moored in still water, and a house looks out from the point.

Your life is still happening.

Haven exists because behavioral health care was never designed for the people who need it most later in life.

Why Haven

Older adults are the least likely group to get behavioral health care and among the most likely to benefit from it. Most care is designed by and for younger people: the offices, the language, the pace, the assumptions. Depression and anxiety in later life get waved away as “just age.” Grief gets a card and a casserole and then silence.

We built Haven specifically for older adults. Clinicians who understand later life. Care that comes to where people already are. And a conviction that runs through everything we do: there are still people to meet, conversations to have, relationships to strengthen, things to enjoy, and things to look forward to.

What we believe

  • Nobody should go through hard things alone. Connection isn’t a nice extra. It’s how people get better.
  • You don’t age out of happiness. Getting by isn’t the goal. A good life is.
  • Getting help is the sensible thing. Not toughing it out. Not a pamphlet. People who know what they’re doing, and who know you.
  • You’ve done hard things before. A lifetime of getting through counts for something. We just help with this part.

How we practice

Haven clinicians use approaches with strong evidence in older adults, adapted for later life, including cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral activation, problem-solving therapy, and grief-focused care.
